I feared ......

I feared being alone

I feared being alone
until I learned to like myself

I feared failure
until I realized that I only fail when I don't try.

I feared success
until I realized I had to try in order to be happy with myself.

I feared people's opinions
Until I learned that people would have opinions about me anyway.

I feared rejection
Until I learned to have faith in myself.

I feared pain
Until I learned that it's not necessary for growth.

I feared the truth
Until I saw the ugliness in lies.

I feared life
Until I experienced the beauty.

I feared death
Until I realized that it's not the end, but a beginning.

I feared my destiny
Until I realized that I had the power to change the life.

I feared hate
Until I saw that it nothing more than ignorance.

I feared love
Until it touched my heart, making the darkness fade into endless sunny days.

I feared ridicule
Until] I learned how to laugh at myself.

I feared growing old each
Until I realized that I gained wisdom everyday.

I feared the future
Until I realized that life just kept getting better.

I feared the past
Until I realized that it no longer hurt me.

I feared the dark
Until I saw the beauty of the starlight.

I feared the light
Until I learned that truth would give me the strength.

I feared change
Until I saw that even the most beautiful butterfly had to undergo a metamorphosis before it could fly.

Myth in Education

We've grown up believing that taking up science in high school is indeed the best option available. But we've never given enough thought to the fact that why the subject rules over others. We believe in this notion because our parents say so. Which we think must be true. However, misconceptions and half truths like these should be busted immediately. Below are five common education myths which have been busted.

Myth: Science is best

Busted: It's not true; Science is not the only option in class 11th for students. Humanities and Commerce also offer equally good career opportunities. Gone are the days when the subject was considered to be the elite one. There are many options available to students apart from science. Nowadays students are following their passion rather than going after a profession. They are experimenting and choosing offbeat and creative careers instead of traditional ones. A student who is not studying science is earning equally well these days. Students should go after their interests rather than what people say.

Myth: Commerce without Maths is not good

Busted: Most of us don't like Mathematics but take it under compulsion as Commerce without Mathematics makes no sense to us. However, this is not true. A student can pursue Commerce without Mathematics and build a promising career. You can very well pursue CA, CS, ICWA, Law, BBA, and BCA in future even if you don't have Mathematics and still achieve heights in your career. If you are not comfortable with the subject then don't pursue it. It might affect your overall percentage. There are various options available to non-Math students.

Myth: Coaching is necessary for competitive exams

Busted: Can a coaching centre really increase your chances of getting admission to that top institute? Well, it can help you with your preparation but certainly cannot assure you of a brilliant score. It all depends upon your caliber and determination. A coaching institute can help you prepare in a systemised manner. But, you can do this all by yourself if you are determined about your goals. You can achieve good results through self study and practice. Moreover, many join these institutes just because it is becoming a trend to do so. If you practice enough and study hard it is not all necessary to join any institute. After all at the end of the day it is your hard work that will fetch you results.

Myth: Management Course increases salary

Busted: Almost everyone today is pursuing an MBA degree hoping to get a raise in their salary. However, this misconception needs to be busted immediately. An MBA degree doesn't ensures a sure shot increase in your salary. It largely depends upon your skills and caliber. It is your knowledge and abilities which can assure you a promotion, not a degree. Moreover the institute from where you've done your MBA also determines your package. If you're interested in MBA then do it from a good institute.

Myth: No scope in creative careers

Busted: Nowadays no longer professional courses are considered to be the best. Creative and hobby courses hold equally good opportunities for students. There is no need to confine yourself to run-of-the-mill career options. If someone is passionate about dance then pursue it with full determination and turn it into a lucrative career. If you're passionate enough you can achieve big. After all, it is the passion that matters, not the profession.

Hardwork

An entrepreneur works day in and day out to make his startup or small enterprise work. The hard work which is put in and the time and effort invested in the right direction always pay off well. The key is to have patience and be motivated. There is nothing which is not possible with hard work being on your side. Hard work will always help you win battles and will make you more wise. With every failure one traverses the path of success.

Ambition

Hard work without any ambition is like walking without any destination. Have a goal, an ambition and work towards it. Thomas Alva Edison, the famous scientist and inventor invented light bulb after failing 1000 times. He attempted and he attempted till the time he succeeded. This should be the dedication, the determination and the commitment towards your work. Success is not far then.

Time Management

Managing time is the most difficult thing and there are volumes of research being done and books being written in this area. How many times do we say that we were short of time that is the reason a deadline was not met. Or else we don't get enough time to exercise or for jogging. This happens because we are not able to manage our time. Time allocation is very important when you want do several things. This will help you do more work in less time.

Prioritize

Always prioritize you work. Most important and urgent things first, urgent and less important things second, important but less urgent things third and lastly go for not important and not urgent things. This will help you make your to-do list and will make sure that you will be able to finish your tasks fully by the end of the day.

Struggle

While putting in these many efforts at times you will feel that all of your efforts are not giving out expected results. You might feel disheartened but the crux is that every single bit you do will help you learn more and your struggle and aggression to achieve will help you to succeed.

Win-Win Attitude

You will have to be sure within yourself that you will be able to finish whichever task you take up. If you have doubts on yourself then no one will trust you. You should have that confidence that when you do a job you will be able to do it fully. You have to win and there is no scope of failure till the time you start doubting yourself. You are going to win and that is for sure. Go ahead and touch the sky.

Organization Behavior

Make sure that the people whom you discuss your answers or your notes are the people who have positive attitude and faith in you. The place around you, the organisation you work for, the school or university you go to should have people who are supportive, who believe in success and who promote hard work.

There is no other alternative to hard work, no shortcuts to hard work, you have to perform well to succeed and nothing else can change the path to success.

HOW TO EXCEL IN THE EXAMINATION:

When it comes to exams, we all must have observed a trend that a student who has a lot of knowledge is not able to perform well in exams. Classmates and friends also share the same feeling, that a particular student is good in studies but not great in getting scores.

 Fear of exam

Fear of the exam is one thing which erases half of the memory. A good student before entering the examination hall starts having anxiety and few suffer from hunger pangs as well. The fear in the mind of forgetting everything is a great obstruction.

 Be calm

Always remember that if you panic then you will be at loss. If you will stay calm then you will excel. So ultimately you are the person who will suffer or excel. Therefore why not be calm and do well. Being calm will make you relax and reduce your anxiety levels.

Don't listen to anyone just before the exam

You can always find some scholars in the class who have always studied extra. Just before the exam they will hit you with so many questions, of which you will not have any answers. Questions will be irrelevant and maybe out of context, but they will be enough to confuse you or scare you.

Only revision on the last day, and no mugging in the morning

Always remember one thing that last day one should only revise the things studied so far, or simply practice questions or sample papers. Never do the mistake of starting something new. This is because if you start afresh with a new thing and are not able to finish it on time then you will panic and get scared. Next morning the last thing you remember will be that topic only. Revision is very important as that will make you feel confident from within. Relax in the morning, have a light breakfast and don't talk to any friend who is stressed or who might make you stress out.

Read the question paper thoroughly and try to follow the sequence as that makes an examiner check your paper in one go. Highlight your pointers, use black ink wherever necessary, underline important things and don't colour the sheet a lot. Provide bullets in your answer and don't make it very descriptive
